Diwali is the festival of lights. It’s one of the most important Hindu festivals and marks the beginning of the new year and symbolizes a renewal of life. In RE classes the children celebrated Diwali by making clay diyas, playing go-fish, creating rangoli, sampling Indian foods, smelling Indian spices, looking at items from India, and more. The PreK-K class also learned about the Moon festival and made moon lanterns. We had fun!
